From Broadway to TV to films to books to songs, musicians and their lives have inspired just about every medium there is. One area that has been largely left untapped is the soap opera format. Until today.
During James Corden’s second Carpool Karaoke with Justin Bieber, the Late Late host had some fun using only Bieber’s song titles in conversation. It appears the segment inspired Corden to go one step further and create a soap opera with dialogue taken directly from Justin Bieber lyrics. It’s actually pretty good.
With an A-list cast comprised of Ray Romano, Gary Oldman, James Corden and the woman everyone is understandably fighting over, Selma Hayek-Pinault, the stars act out a four-way love quarrel with Bieber as their script writer. Actually, One Direction should also get a writing credit. Romano has a little bit of difficulty keeping his pop stars straight.
What would a soap opera based on Justin Bieber lyrics be called? Just In Time? All My Beliebers? As The All Around The World Turns? We’re still working it out.
