One Direction’s Niall Horan may officially be a solo artist now, but that doesn’t mean he’s against forming a temporary group in the name of Halloween.
While appearing on The Late Late Show With James Corden this week, Horan and Corden got into the holiday spirit and shot a music video to their new track “Candy.” Get ready for it to hit the top of the charts.
Set to the music of Ginuwine’s “Pony,” Corden opens the song singing, “I’m just a Batman looking for some Pop Rocks / So damn good and sweet inside / You look like the right fun size.”
Staying true to the sexually charged original, Corden and Horan take on the chorus together, singing, “If you’re scary / Let’s do it / Give me my candy / My satchel’s waiting / Trick or treat on it.” Could Corden and Horan be the new Fallon and Timberlake?
The men try on a variety of traditional Halloween costumes, including Batman, a pirate, astronaut, vampire, a ghost, a cow, a cob of corn and peas. Not every Halloween costume needs to be scary, apparently.
In addition to the debut and possible immediate retirement of the musical duo, Horan also took the stage alone to perform his first solo single “This Town.” It’s so pretty.
