This year will go down in history as one of the most depressing in recent history. With only two days left in 2016, we’re crossing our fingers that everyone makes it to the new year. In 2016, we need a win. Sure, they haven’t been together in two years, but if dreaming of a reconciliation Jelena is all we’ve got, it’s good enough.
Though the two singing stars have parted ways, they still often pop up in the same place, including appearances on Carpool Karaoke. Justin was one of the first celebs to take a ride around LA with The Late Late Show host James Corden, appearing a number of times since then.
As for Selena, she too has helped Corden find his way to work, as well as finding a rollercoaster, a McDonald’s drive thru, and giving the down low on bestie Taylor Swift’s squad.
So, what would it look like if Corden was removed from Carpool Karaoke and gave Jelena the chance to reconnect? A lot like this.
An Instagrammer mashed up the Carpool Karaoke segments for the two superstars and gave us a much-needed walk down memory lane to simpler, more hopeful times. Watch as Justin and Selena dance to one another’s songs, tease each other, and Bieber admits he’s an emotional guy and all the break-ups were his fault. Okay, maybe not that last part, but we’ll never stop shipping these two and a possible reconciliation.
